<p>Les projections de population établies par l'Insee pour la France ont pour point de départ les derniers effectifs définitifs de la population par sexe et âge.<br />
Elles simulent chaque année jusqu'à l'horizon de projection le nombre d'hommes et de femmes de chaque âge sur la base d'hypothèses sur l'évolution des trois composantes des variations de population (méthode des composantes) : fécondité, mortalité et migrations.<br />
D'une année sur l'autre, la population évolue en fonction des décès, des naissances et des mouvements migratoires (émigration et immigration).<br />
Le dernier exercice de projection pour la France a été publié en novembre 2021. Il a pour point de départ la population par sexe et âge au 1er janvier 2021 et pour horizon 2070. L'exercice précédent avait été réalisé en 2016, pour des projections entre 2013 et 2070.</p> |

<p>The starting point of the population projections established by INSEE for France is the last final population numbers by sex and age.<br />
Each year, population projections simulate the number of men and women of each age based on hypotheses concerning the trends in the three components of population variations (component method): fertility, mortality and migrations, up to the projection horizon.<br />
From one year to another, population changes according to births, deaths and migratory movements (emigration and immigration).<br />
The last projection exercise for France was published in November 2021. Its starting point was the population on 1st January 2021 by sex and age and with a horizon of 2070. The previous exercise had been carried out in 2016, for projections between 2013 and 2070.</p> |
