<p>The objective of the 2020 Household Wealth Survey "Enquête Patrimoine" is to describe the household situation with regard to financial, real-estate and professional assets and liabilities in France.</p>
<p>It is used to observe the distribution of assets and liabilities values as well as the different asset holding patterns across households. It also provides particularly comprehensive information on factors accounting for wealth accumulation:</p>
<ul>
<li>family and professional biography;</li>
<li>gifts and inheritances;</li>
<li>income and financial situation;</li>
<li>observation of the processes involved in the creation and transfer of economic assets.</li>
</ul>
<p>The 2020 survey is part of a European framework; in partnership with the Banque de France, Insee produces the microdata used as input into the French part of the Household Finance and Consumption Survey (HFCS), a harmonized system of wealth surveys supervised by the European Central Bank (ECB).</p> |

<p>L'enquête Histoire de vie et Patrimoine 2020 a pour objectif de décrire les actifs financiers, immobiliers et professionnels des ménages, ainsi que leurs emprunts.</p>
<p>Elle permet d'observer la distribution du patrimoine au sein des ménages, ainsi que les taux de détention des différents actifs patrimoniaux et apporte aussi une information très complète sur les facteurs explicatifs de la formation du patrimoine :</p>
<ul>
<li>biographie familiale et professionnelle ;</li>
<li>héritages et donations ;</li>
<li>revenus et situation financière ;</li>
<li>connaissance des mécanismes de constitution et de transmission du patrimoine économique.</li>
</ul>
<p>L'enquête 2020 s'inscrit dans un cadre européen ; en partenariat avec la Banque de France, l'Insee produit les données de l'enquête Patrimoine qui servent à renseigner la partie française du Household Finance and Consumption Survey (HFCS), un dispositif d'harmonisation des enquêtes sur le patrimoine piloté par la Banque Centrale Européenne.</p> |

<p>The Life History and Wealth Survey 2020 is the eighth, after the surveys in 1986, 1991-92 (Enquêtes Actifs financiers), 1997-98, 2003-04, 2009-10, 2014-15 (Enquêtes Patrimoine) and 2017-18. </p>
<p>The survey, previously conducted every six years, is now part of a european setting ; in partnership with the Banque de France, Insee produces the data which is used to complete the french part of the Household Finance and Consumption Survey (HFCS), a process of wealth survey harmonisation driven by the European Central Bank.</p>
<p>In this framework, the survey now takes place every three years, and some households are interviewed again in several waves ("panel"). The panel process adds some short questionnnaire on internet or letter. They help keeping contact with interviewed households in order to facilitate their reinterrogation from one wave to the other.</p> |

<p>L’enquête, réalisée auparavant tous les six ans, s’inscrit dans un cadre européen ; en partenariat avec la Banque de France, l’Insee produit les données qui servent à renseigner la partie française du Household Finance and Consumption Survey (HFCS), un dispositif d’harmonisation des enquêtes sur le patrimoine piloté par la Banque Centrale Européenne.</p>
<p>Dans ce cadre, l’enquête a lieu désormais tous les trois ans et est panélisée : en 2020, certains ménages sont interrogés pour la 3ème fois. Le niveau dispositif panélisé instaure, en complément des enquêtes face-à-face, de courtes enquêtes de suivi intercalaires, sous la forme d'un questionnaire auto-administré internet / papier. Elles contribuent à maintenir le contact avec les enquêtés, de façon à faciliter leur réinterrogation d'une vague à l'autre.</p> |
